About Me

I have two passions…helping others and capturing life through photography. I have lived most of my life in Cincinnati, Ohio.  It’s the place I call home.  While in high school, I wasn’t the most ambitious student.  But, I made it through. My mom insisted that I be involved with an organization called UGive. Although I didn’t know it at the time, the experience and the connections that I made would help me along my journey to where I am today.

In my life, like so many others, I have struggled with depression and that made it hard for me to really connect with people, with life.  Shortly after I finished high school, a dream that I had came to abrupt halt and I was faced with not knowing what I would do with my life. It was a very difficult time for me. I suffered.  My relationships suffered.  I was lost.

As fate would have it, I reconnected with a leader from UGive, a motivational speaker. We talked and I mentioned my interest in photography. It was the one thing that gave me joy.  He got me in touch with a cancer awareness organization  They needed a photographer for an event and I was up for the challenge.  That was the start of a life changing path for me, a moment of clarity one might say.  I could do the thing that gave me joy and I could also help people capture these special moments in life, connect with them in a way that I hadn’t known before this.

Since then, I have taken photos for quite a few events, including conferences and weddings. I have taken portraits for families and groups.  I also have a couple of projects that I am working on involving other artists that I’m really excited about.  I’m back in school and this time I’m ambitious. I I’m pursuing my Bachelors in Social Work and hopefully soon after my Masters in Social Work.  This new dream, it’s way better than the old one.  It involves me following my true passions.  It lets me give back to those who have helped me along the way and those I have yet to meet.  My heart and so many great memories are in the photos that are on this site. I hope you enjoy viewing what I have to share with you.
